Academic Achievements
2011 Summer Graduates
Roberto & Jessika graduated this June and both plan to pursue higher education. Roberto is interested in becoming a professional wrestler and working in the entertainment industry. He’ll be studying for a business degree. Roberto qualified for the Monarch School Project scholarship and also received the Beason Scholarship. Jessika is interested in continuing to model and pursuing interests in forensic science. She is currently working at a pharmacy for “real life” experience before deciding on her major. Jessika qualifies for the Monarch School Project Scholarship and has received the following scholarships: the Citizen’s Scholarship, the Price Scholarship, the Soroptimist Scholarship and the Words Alive Scholarship. Both will continue their education at San Diego City College before transferring to a four year university.
High Fliers- Monarch's Honor Roll Program
Last quarter we had 65 students on high fliers. 36 students made the honor roll with a 3.0 GPA while 22 students made the principals honor roll with a 3.5 or above GPA.
Post Graduate Support
Monarch provides graduating seniors with the support they need to successfully transition from Monarch to higher education, including military service. Post-graduation support includes scholarships universities, local community colleges and vocational training, school supplies, books, food, emergency medical and dental care, and ancillary financial support for funding on- or off-campus housing.
