• October 18 th, 2008 ~ Red Shoe Shuffle

Runners and walkers alike will enjoy the official distance, timed 5K route as it winds through one of San Diego's historic communities. Post-event activities include a health and lifestyle expo, with food booths, live entertainment, and much more! Spend the morning with your family, friends and neighbors while supporting the amazing students of Monarch School as they strive to break the cycle of homelessness through education!

• January 19th, 2008 ~ Diamond in the Rough Gala

Mark your calendars: The next Diamond in the Rough Gala is scheduled for January 19, 2008, and headlining the event will be the incomparable NATALIE COLE! Monarch School will be the sole beneficiary in 2008, so we want all of our friends to be at the Manchester Grand Hyatt to celebrate an unforgettable evening. Let us know how many tables you will need. The earlier the reservation, the closer to the stage you will be! We also need sponsorships and auction items! • October 20, 2007 – Life is good® Pumpkin Festival
  

Newland Communities and Life is good® invite you to have some good old-fashioned outdoor family fun while benefiting Monarch School and HomeAid San Diego. Enjoy pumpkin carving, face painting, music, sack races, tug-of-war, and more while helping our kids break the cycle of homelessness through education.
