Fiscal Responsibility
“It’s the donor’s money,” is my credo as Chief Financial Officer for Monarch School Project. Fiscal responsibility for Monarch’s funds is magnified by our duty to ensure that funds entrusted to us by donors are properly accounted for, kept safe and spent only to carry out Monarch’s mission of helping homeless and at-risk students. For those purposes we have instituted strong internal controls, adopted an investment policy that includes a “no-risk to principal” provision and established procedures to monitor spending on a daily basis. It is my pleasure to ensure that all donations are used for the good of Monarch’s very special students.
